Rust in Peace: Happy 20th

To celebrate the longevity of their career, Megadeth is embarking on a special tour. It has been twenty years since the band has released what is commonly considered one of the greatest metal albums of all time, Rust in Peace. In commemoration, the album is to be performed in full. This is an opportunity that no metalhead can afford to miss!

The tour begins on March 1 and ends on the 31st in Hollywood. There are 22 shows in the tour, so it’s quite a vigorous stretch. Although not to worry, I’ve seen Megadeth perform live twice and many more times on youtube and DVDs and they are consistently spectacular. It’s a safe bet that they’ll give a great show.

Opening for them is Exodus and Testament. I found Exodus a tad too “thrashy” for my liking. However, I do enjoy a handful of Testament songs. They are apparently due to release an album sometime this year, though not much has been said about it.

On a side note, Megadeth’s “Headcrusher” has been nominated for a Grammy. Yeah, I know it’s just a Grammy… still, great work guys! See you at the concert.
