On May 31, Matthew Good‘s latest album was released. Lights of Endangered Species is the fifth record to be released by the artist since his departure from the Matthew Good Band. It is different from much of his other works, yet its quality is still at a respectable high. With this wonderful release, Matt Good proves he is that good!
Dedicated to Chaos is the upcoming release by the iconic progressive metal Queensrÿche. This is to be done through Roadrunner Records on June 28. Sad to say, the apple has fallen quite a ways from the tree; it’s not even metal! But that is not the issue here. Perhaps, I should reword my earlier statement… it’s not even good!
After nearly a four-year break, the Foo Fighters are releasing a new album. On April 12, Wasting Light is to become available to the general public. Foo Fighters have struggled to put out something unique and refreshing for quite some time now (at least in my opinion). Though this will not be revered as highly as The Colour and the Shape, it is definitely a step in the right direction. Wasting Light is certainly one of the stronger Foo Fighters records up to date.
Tonight (March 29, 2010), the famous alternative rock band Muse came to Edmonton. They performed at Rexall Place with the opening act being Silversun Pickups. Luckily for me, I managed to get a hold of a floor ticket the day before the concert. I managed to make it a distance of about ten people from the front. Though I’m not a regular listener of Muse (or Silversun Pickups), I found myself having a great time at the concert.
