July 27, 2011 Leave a comment

On July 12, Fair to Midland released their latest album entitled Arrows and Anchors. The alternative metal force comes strong with this release, as quality is at a triumphant high. This is my first encounter with the band and, despite my nitpicking, I am quite impressed.

On May 31, Matthew Good‘s latest album was released. Lights of Endangered Species is the fifth record to be released by the artist since his departure from the Matthew Good Band. It is different from much of his other works, yet its quality is still at a respectable high. With this wonderful release, Matt Good proves he is that good!

Queensrÿche – Dedicated to Chaos: Review

June 20, 2011 12 comments

Dedicated to Chaos is the upcoming release by the iconic progressive metal Queensrÿche. This is to be done through Roadrunner Records on June 28. Up until now, I have not delved deep into much of the band’s material. It is extremely shocking how four cellists playing metal can sound so generic.

Muse: Live in Edmonton

March 30, 2010 Leave a comment

Tonight (March 29, 2010), the famous alternative rock band Muse came to Edmonton. They performed at Rexall Place with the opening act being Silversun Pickups. Luckily for me, I managed to get a hold of a floor ticket the day before the concert. I managed to make it a distance of about ten people from the front. Though I’m not a regular listener of Muse (or Silversun Pickups), I found myself having a great time at the concert.
