Just yesterday (May 16), the heavy metal icon, Ronnie James Dio, passed away. It is a regrettable loss to his loved ones (first and foremost), as well as his fans and the whole metal community. He is a brilliant musician, taking part in the biggest bands including Black Sabbath, Rainbow, and his own project Dio. But his kind spirit and respectful nature is no less remarkable. Anything that has been said about Dio has been positive. I have seen him twice in concert and to say he is a polite man is a grand understatement.
To his close friends and family: we all wish you the best. May this wonderful man live on forever in our hearts.
It feels great to be back! My computer is fixed enough that I can blog again. However, finals are just around the corner, so I cannot say how much more active the blog will be. Still, it’s nice to have the opportunity.
During my unexpected absence, I had not come across any new releases. But I was killing time at HMV the other day and I came across Dio’s Holy Diver for six dollars. What a steal! Holy Diver is the debut album of metal icon, Ronnie James Dio. It is a wonderful album, but of course I knew that before buying it.
