This week, specifically Thursday Sept 23, 2010, I had the opportunity to interview (via phone) Thomas Youngblood, guitarist of the high-esteemed Kamelot. They are among my favorite bands and have released a handful of excellent, masterful records. Before anything, I would like to thank Thomas for his time, as well as Earsplit for their assistance in conducting this interview. So here you have it: the interview (skipping the personal introductions).
On September 1, one of my favorite bands, Kamelot, released their latest album in Japan. Now if you’re in Europe, Poetry for the Poisoned is out on the 10th, and for America it is the 14th. Because they are among my top bands, I had high expectations diving into this album. You can imagine how disappointed I am having to use the word “average” in its description.
On September 3 this year, the highly praised Kamelot is to release their upcoming record entitled Poetry for the Poisoned. It has been a long time coming for the fans, and the band assures us that the wait will be rewarded. I’m extremely excited despite being disappointed by their latest release… not unimpressed, but disappointed. Still, I haven’t lost faith in them, and I’m hoping to give the anticipated album a good review.
The band is also to be touring this fall. They unfortunately will not be coming here. But if they’re in your town, check them out!
Anyways, here is the album art, care of the folks from Earsplit. Enjoy!
