Skyliner – The Alchemist (EP): Review
Slightly over a year ago, I received debut demo material from a New Jersey band calling themselves Skyliner. Just recently, I got a hold of their latest EP entitled The Alchemist. Though I was quite pleased with the eponymous release, this one even further impressed me. Everything from the production to the music itself is a step up from what was already a quality product. If you thought Skyliner was good, be sure to check this one out!
Pharaoh – Ten Years (EP): Review
June 7 is the date when the power metal group Pharaoh released their latest album. The record is Ten Years and was released through Cruz Del Sur records. This is my first encounter with any music from the band and I was quite pleased. I had heard many great things and though they are not fully embodied through this album, it is surely shown here that there is merit to the compliments.
Riverside – Memories in My Head (EP): Review
Riverside is to release an EP entitled Memories in My Head on June 20. It has been a whole two years since the band has released any material (the most recent being the LP Anno Domini High Definition). And although one would hope that the wait warranted a full-length release, this EP is sure to please many despite its limited duration.
Between the Buried and Me – The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues (EP): Review
On April 12, Between the Buried and Me released an EP which is a sort of introduction to an upcoming concept album. It is entitled The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues. It is a mere three songs, but all of which total a solid half hour. Personally, I preferred Thomas Giles solo effort. Still, this is a solid release from the main project.
